Storyboarding
River Ice is a film concept I worked closely with a screenwriter and director to create a visual narrative that weaves together myth, history, and time. The goal was retelling the events of Operation Anthropoid through a meta-analasys of Czech myths, history, and national identity. We show parallels between personal and spiritual integration of two men who face their own expectations, actions, and desires when they are trapped in a church cellar trying to escape the persecution by the Nazis. The story constantly explores the importance of integrity, and free will, so I used the contrast of black and white to show drama and movement in the most important scripted scenes.
